Michelle Read is a fourth-year undergraduate student in the Global Resource Systems program at UBC, where she explores intersections of environmental and political science. She is passionate about advancing social and environmental justice through community engagement and artistic storytelling. She is currently a research assistant at ORICE for a project that explores how Canadian universities can support human rights defenders at risk and in exile, interviewing individuals and synthesizing insights into written reports that seek to inform the development of HRD-university collaborations.
